Hi there! We are Roberta and Josh. Born and raised in Northern California, we’re a couple who tied the knot five years ago, and we’ve been each other’s best friend ever since. We are a fun loving, hardworking and adventurous couple. Our journey to start a family has led us to seek adoption. We believe that there is something truly special about adopting. We look forward to the love and joy this new chapter brings, and we sincerely appreciate you taking the time to learn about us.
About Us
We’re a happily married couple, thrilled at the prospect of expanding our family through adoption. After five amazing years together, we’ve come to realize that our hearts have an immeasurable amount of love to share. Despite knowing each other for years, our story began at a mutual friend’s wedding, where we spent the day together and felt an instant connection. Since then, our bond has grown stronger, rooted in trust, laughter, and shared dreams. Living in the captivating landscapes of Northern California, we find joy in exploring the region, going on day trips, and discovering hidden treasures. We are adventurous, outgoing, and love experiencing life to the fullest. Whether it’s days at the beach, camping or traveling the globe, we believe in making the most of every moment.
Family and faith are a big part of our lives. We have a great support network of family and friends that live very close by. They are all very excited to support us and welcome a new life into our family.
Dogs have always been a big part of our relationship. We have two rescue dogs (and at one point had four)! We enjoy traveling with them, dog parks and spending time outdoors with our dogs. We look forward to sharing this with a child.
Adoption has always been a dream for us, a path we are wholeheartedly ready to embrace. We are committed to providing a loving, nurturing, and stable home for a child. We have a lot of experience with adoption because several of our closest friends and family came from adoptive situations.
Meet Roberta
Roberta is a vibrant hairstylist and salon owner who brings her magic touch from her bustling downtown salon, right into the heart of our home. She’s the beloved “second mom” to her godchildren, making lasting memories from weekend trips to fun-filled evenings at home. She looks forward to being a mother. The thought of raising a child and getting to share their first-time experiences in life is a real dream. She looks forward to trips to Disneyland and strolls down the beach. Roberta is bilingual and embraces her own Mexican American heritage. She looks forward to sharing some cultural diversity with a child.
Dog rescue and fostering has been her passion for a few years now. Roberta has fostered numerous dogs over the years. Nowadays, you can often find her happily strolling with our two beloved dogs, Missy and Blue, or spending quality time at the dog park.
She is passionate about walking. In fact, most days are usually not complete without at least a 2-3 mile walk. The family often jokes about how much she loves to take her walks (especially with the dogs).
Roberta loves gardening, especially succulents and cactus, and settling down to read a good book. Roberta is an absolute people person. She likes to spend her free time surrounded by family and friends. It is really important to her to participate in all the family functions, events, graduations, etc. She’s also fantastic at planning family functions at our home.
Meet Josh
Say hello to Josh, a man with an unparalleled work ethic and an infectious zest for life. Josh’s dedication to his work is mirrored in his love for adventure, bringing balance to his busy days. Work hard, play hard is one of the easiest ways to describe this man.
Josh loves spending time outdoors. Specifically, his favorite activities are water related: swimming, wake boarding, fishing. If it involves H2O, he’s happy to participate. Being active, traveling and doing outdoor activities are a really important part of his life. Josh looks forward to teaching his child how to fish, swim and enjoy outdoor activities, and possibly sports.
He also has many hobbies. From golfing to playing music, Josh has a curious personality and is always looking to learn something new. He gets excited about researching new ideas, concepts and hobbies, and will “nerd out” until he feels like an expert.
The people in his life and his faith are hugely important to him. He is a constant source of support and encouragement for all those he loves. He genuinely invests in others and cares about their happiness and success.

We are a loving and close-knit family, eagerly anticipating the opportunity to welcome your extraordinary child into our lives. Our extended family is a source of endless support, bringing laughter and warmth to our home. Josh’s family, just a stone’s throw away, provides unwavering love and wise counsel. Roberta’s extended tribe, near and far, is a tight-knit bunch, always there to lend a helping hand.
Amongst our unique connections, there’s a special bond with Roberta’s sister in Iowa. Their shared passion for the Iowa State Cyclones runs deep, creating a spirited and fun-filled tradition we can’t wait to share with our future child.

| More About Our Family | ||
| Things we love about where we live | The location of our home literally puts us in the middle of a very diverse geography. If you drive about an hour you're in the SF bay area and some of the most beautiful coastlines including Santa cruz, Monterey bay. Driving an hour in the opposite direction puts you in the amazing sierra Nevada mountains. Lake Tahoe, and the national forests are absolutely majestic. The weather is usually pretty great year round, allowing us to do most outdoor activities nearly year round. | |
| Our Faith | Faith holds a significant place in our lives. Roberta was raised Catholic and continues to be actively involved in the Church. Josh, initially raised Lutheran, found resonance with the Catholic faith and happily converted. Our shared faith strengthens our bond and guides our values. We believe in creating a loving, respectful, and understanding home, and are eager to share the beauty of faith with our future child, while also nurturing their own spiritual journey. | |
| Why we want to adopt | We've always dreamt of expanding our family, and although we've faced complications with pregnancy, this has opened our hearts to the incredible journey of adoption. The experiences of our close friends and family members who were adopted have deeply touched us, illuminating the beautiful, unique love that comes from adoption. Their stories make us realize that adoption isn't just a means to start a family; it's a special, meaningful path to embracing an individual's unique journey.
