A Letter from Alex & Isabel
We are a young, God-centered family, and we are thrilled to be growing our family through adoption again. Some of the things we enjoy are game nights, fellowship, camping, and gardening. We have a large extended family, and they are all eagerly waiting to welcome your child into our home. We look forward to building long lasting memories with your child, as well as getting to know you.
Somos una familia joven, centrada en Dios, y estamos encantados de poder hacer crecer nuestra familia a través de la adopción nuevamente. Algunas de las cosas que disfrutamos son las noches de juegos, el compañerismo, acampar y hacer jardinería. Tenemos una familia numerosa y todos están esperando ansiosamente darle la bienvenida a su hijo a nuestro hogar. Esperamos construir recuerdos duraderos con su hijo, además de conocerlo.
About Us
We are high school sweethearts, but it was definitely not love at first sight. It took us a while to build up our friendship and relationship, but once we did, we were inseparable! We went on to attend and graduate from the same college in 2015, and in December of the same year we were married. We had always talked about adoption and feel like God gave us the push we needed in that direction when Isabel was diagnosed with endometriosis in 2018. We decided to forgo fertility treatments and grow our family through adoption instead, and in 2022 we adopted our son Malachi. We could not be more excited to continue to grow our family through adoption once again!
We are a loving couple who enjoys traveling and exploring new places. We love to try all different kinds of food when we travel; one of our favorite traditions is to try a local pizza place wherever we go! We also enjoy spending time with our family and friends. When we get together on weekends, we like to play board games while we enjoy each other’s company. As natural educators, we look forward to making education a priority in our children’s lives. We hope to inspire their curiosity of the outdoors, as well as a love for adventure.
Meet my Husband, Alex
Isabel says: Alex is a compassionate, loving husband who is always willing to lend a hand to whoever needs it. He enjoys hosting gatherings in our home and loves being the host that goes above and beyond. In his free time, Alex likes to golf, fish, camp, and garden, all of which I know he is excited to share and teach our next child. He has also recently taken up photography, so I know there will be detailed documentation of our children’s milestones and accomplishments.
I have watched his love for Jesus grow into a beautiful relationship and I admire the way he serves Christ throughout his life. I know that Alex will be an incredible father to any child and that he will always take the responsibility of that role seriously. He has plenty of knowledge, wisdom, and love to share with any child that is welcomed into our home.
Meet my Wife, Isabel
Alex says: Isabel is the most loving and patient person I know. She is a Montessori school teacher and a director for our church’s Northern CA youth camp. She loves to teach and build the next generation and I know she will provide so much love and education to our next child, teaching them how to become independent and constantly reading to them as she does to our son Malachi.
Isabel also loves baking and crocheting, and she will make great memories with our children and crochet them blankets to cherish for a lifetime. I can see Isabel teaching our children secret family recipes and sharing how food always brings people together. She also loves the beach and seahorses, and her love for Jesus is like no other.
Our Family
We have a large extended family on both sides, who are all so excited to help us welcome the second grandchild and great-grandchild into our home. We come from traditional Hispanic households where we are both second-generation Mexican Americans. Our family is supportive of our plans for adoption, and they are eager to include our next child in activities like family camping, cooking family meals, and barbeques at the park. When we get together there is always laughter and joy to be had; we know our family will be a great support for any child that comes into our home, and we cannot wait to share that with them.
Our Home in California
We have a three-bedroom house, and have big plans of turning one of those bedrooms into a nursery for our next child. Our home is located in a family-friendly neighborhood close to parks and schools. One of our favorite parts of our home is the backyard where we have built a small garden area, as well as put in fruit trees and raise backyard chickens. Our backyard is fenced and has plenty of room to run around and play. We conveniently live at the halfway point between the California coast and the Sierra Nevada’s, so adventure is never too far away!
Our son, Malachi, loves playing with our adorable Australian Shepherd who has so much love and energy to share. We know they will be great companions for any little one!

We promise to love, cherish, and embrace your child with everything we have. We will raise them to know Jesus and the love He has for everyone. We will equip them with what they need to become a kind, compassionate, respectful individual. We will work diligently to provide for them the opportunity to pursue their goals, and support them through whatever challenges they may face. We will provide a safe, comfortable place for them to call home, where you will be honored and talked about with the utmost respect. Thank you for considering us as adoptive parents for your child. | Our Special Interests | As a family we love any outdoor adventure including camping, beach trips, and exploring new places throughout the country. We also enjoy hosting family/friends in our home where we believe that food brings everyone together. | Our Faith | We are a Christian family that attends a Sabbath Celebrating church. Our faith is a big part of our lives. We strive to follow the Lord's teachings and instill these values in our son, and hope to do the same for our next child. Alex currently serves on the Board and teaches Sabbath School classes. He is on the speaking rotation and gives the message once a month. Isabel currently serves as the Northern CA Junior Youth Camp Director where she puts on summer camps for the entire Northern CA region in our denomination. She assists with the preschool Sabbath School class and occasionally helps with worship during service. | |

| Our Thoughts on Open Adoption | We love the idea of having an open adoption with you! We believe that having an open adoption is the healthiest way for a child who was adopted to understand their story. We know that babies grow up into children who will eventually have big questions, and we want to be as open and age-appropriate with them as possible. We currently have an open adoption with our son's birthmother, and although her plans were not always to have an open adoption with us, it has turned into a beautiful relationship that we cherish and look forward to continuing for a lifetime. We currently share monthly updates and photos with our son's birthmother, and we are more than willing to do the same for any future children that come into our home. | |
